Valkyria Chronicles is a war time strategy game that is exclusive to Sony Computer Entertainment's Play Station 3 gaming console. It features an endearing story of a small fictional country under attack by the massive Europan Empire. Europa is on a war path trying to secure every single source of the raw ore known as Ragnite and the hero's tiny country is one of the richest sources of ragnite in the land.
You take up arms as Welkin Gunther – a small town science teacher turned military volunteer. Welkin becomes a tank commander and the leader of Squad 7. As leader it is up to you to choose your recruits from a list of over 100 candidates who all have their strong points and weaknesses. There are several different soldier classes that these recruits fall under as well. What's more is your characters gain or lose attributes based on who they are teamed with. Some characters just don't get along with others. Its up to you to match up the perfect squad.
