Even as social networking and video game use continues to soar, a lot of people still enjoy playing traditional board games. Family time and nostalgia have a lot to do with this fact, as many people who are now parents fondly recall playing board games as a child. Board games also help kids to develop memory, math and deductive reasoning skills.

Strategy games are not only found online or on computer screens. Many board games are also based on using strategy. Some card games like Euchre which remain popular today date back to the late 1800's. Many of these games are based on strategy and reward good choices. When families play these games together, it helps them build stronger relationships. The number one selling board game of all time remains Monopoly, and this iconic game has spawned counterparts like Earthopoly. In this spinoff, players buy carbon credits instead of houses and hotels, and instead of going to jail, they are sent to the trash dump.

There is a Campaign mode where you unlock various features as you go along, and a Skirmish that allows you to play any map independently.
